Agile or waterfall? Or hybrid?

"Agile or Waterfall? Choosing the Right Project Methodology"

ree

Everyone believes that agile is the only way to run projects and that the waterfall method is outdated. However, experience shows that few projects follow a pure agile or pure waterfall model; most use a combination of both, depending on the project phase.

Choosing the right methodology means assessing what suits the project best based on factors such as:

- Uncertainty in requirements

- Frequency of changes

- Team skills and maturity

- Dependencies

- Delivery timeline

- Stakeholder involvement and feedback needs

- Risk appetite

- Organizational culture

Many projects end up with a hybrid approach. The goal is to adapt to the project’s needs, reducing complexity and focusing on efficient delivery.
